Graduated with a B.Sc. in Marine Zoology from UBC in 1971 and became a certified scuba diver in 1969. An accomplished underwater photographer and naturalist, specializing in the marine life of the British Columbia coast. Currently over 4,800 logged dives in western Canadian waters. Provides expert biological surveys and habitat assessments in the marine environment supplemented by professional still photography and video. Specializes in the species identification of marine life with a particular interest in the invertebrates of the NE Pacific, especially sponges, corals and echinoderms. Clients include Fisheries and Oceans Canada, TERA Environmental, Vancouver Port Corporation, Coast River Environmental Consultants, Methanex, Norecol Environmental Consultants, Alcan Smelters and Chemicals Ltd., Technology Resource Inc.
