Neil McDaniel Photography & Cinematography

Photojournalism

Neil’s first passion beneath the sea was still photography, and to that end he has written a wide variety of Photo Essays about marine life. His travels have taken him to many different parts of the world and the resulting articles have appeared in more than a hundred international magazines and books.

He continues to pursue still photography, using a variety of Nikon 35 mm cameras and Aquatica underwater housings. For close-ups he still relies on his vintage Nikon F camera in a custom-made aluminum housing fabricated by Kjeld Nicolaisen, along with an Ikelite 150 Substrobe. This system has taken thousands of Kodachrome images over the past 30 years--the camera, housing and flash were built to last!.
